Trim up doesn't work, Trailer trip WORKS!

I have the service manual, have tested the connections and I can't find the problem. I bet you know exactly what's wrong so can you tell me please? Got to be simple (as is was my last "major problem"). lol

Go to the trim pump and locate the trim limit wires, 2 black lamp cord type wire .There are 2 of these. 1 is sender ,1 is trim limit.You`ll find the sender is reading open .most likely the wires at the gimpal housing are corroded away.
Can be by-passed to allow operation with the trim button but you must use caution.

What he said. Usually its the limiter or it's wiring. Its one of the two hockey puck devices on the side of the drive on the side of the pivot housing.

Limit switch which is mounted on the port side of your gimble ring. Check it out in your manual.Lot of times the contacts are just dirty or corroded and can be cleaned up,sanded,and they work fine.

Jim,
Regarding my trim problem from a few days back. I cleaned the trim limit and trim position switches on either side of the gimble. The trim now seems to work just fine. The trim position indicator will only indicate full up or full down, it zooms between up and down without stopping anywhere in between.
I lubricated the contacts with die electric grease before I closed things up. I also marked the previous position with tape so I'm sure it is back in the same position before I started.
Should the contacts be dry or lubed with the die electric grease?
