Trim/up down

I have a 2002 campion allante 535 w/ a 150 yamaha vmax. The motor will trim up and down from the control on motor but only down from the remote. I followed all the wires to to connector box on the motor. When I activate any button I can hear it click inside except for when I try to come up on the remote. Any suggestions for a novice would be nice, I would really like to learn. Thankyou.

It's probably the switch on the handle. They wear out. It could be a loose blue wire connection. It might have a white stripe. Blue is UP, green is Down.

I had a similar problem, except my issue was on the switch on the motor. I replaced the switch there, and it's worked ever since. If you need help finding a part number or anything, let me know, and I'll be glad to help.
