I’ve tried switching the relays, but only the trim down button works no matter the relays being switched. I believe that means it’s not a relay that is bad.
I switched the green and blue wires at the point where they leave the relay and go to the trim motor. Doing that, the motor will trim up when the down button is pushed. So it seems as though the motor and wiring after the relay is ok.
I tested the voltage going in the relays. The up and down harnesses have 5 wires coming into the relay. 3 have no voltage. One on each has a constant 12v. The remaining wire on the down side provides 12v when the switch is engaged. That wire on the up side is only getting 4v when the up switch is engaged. However, I wired in a constant 12v to test if the low voltage was the issue, but the up button still did nothing.
Any ideas on what to try now would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
