My trim up switch isn't working...I have to use the trailer button. I started looking and found the wires were broken off the starboard side sensor/switch. The reading I've done states that this is a complete kit from the switch back and can't just repair the sensor on the drive. Since I'm taking my boat in to have the drive pulled and inspected and then having the bellows replaced I was thinking of having them replace the trim "kit" they said since they would have the drive of anyway they would only charge me 175 labor and 100 for the parts. Some people I talk to say not to waste my money b/c it will probably go out again but i'm new to all of this and was wanting the professionals opinion's (ones that aren't selling me the parts):)

The only difference between the trim and the trailer is that the trim switch limits how much drive tilt will occur limited by the trim sensor. The trailer switch will do the identical thing but you will have to control yourself in how much tilt you apply.

Yeah I decided to have them fix it while the drive was off...it was an extra 275 w/ parts and labor but at least now it's working and won't have to woner where my drive is at.

Thanks
