trim up not working

I have a 1993 bayliner that has been a great boat.
As the title says my trim up button gets no response.
trim down works fine.

My throttle controller has the trailer button on it.
that will lift the unit fine.

So if i understand this correctly that would indicate my up solenoid is working, no need to jump it correct?
That would also indicate the pump is working since the trailer up button lifts it.

That would leave either trim up/down rocker button defective or a faulty wire.

Do I appear to be be on the right track?

what motor and or outdrive do you have. some models have two trim relays. one for up and one for down, if thats the case switch the relays to see if the up relay is bad

Hello, I'm having the exact same problem with my 1993 capri. My engine is a Mercruise Alpha One 3.0L. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Since this is drive question rather than strictly a Bayliner question, you may get more attention starting your own thread over in the MerCruiser et al area. However, if you search that area, you are probably going to find a lot of good info.

The first thing you will probably be asked is if there is any sound at all when you hit the "up" button.
