One easy fix possibility is that the manual tilt release screw is not against its seat.Worth a look.Should be accessible through a hole in the side of the transom bracket.Careful, the release screw head tends to crater easily if you don't use the right size driver.Make sure the reservoir is topped off as well. You can do this by tiltiing the engine up and supporting it from leaking down. Then ,remove the fill screw on the tilt reservoir and insure that it is full to the point of weeping out of hole.Reinstall reservoir plug and run the engine up and down several times to prime.

Otherwise, you may have a seal issue.Trailering without a support in the tilted position can lead to premature problems. Is there any signs of external leakage?
