From your other thread you have a 1978 Merc 120 motor
You should have a trim limit switch on the port side of the gimbal ring. This one just opens and closes as its rotated. The wires connect to the throttle control trim buttons
The one on the starboard side is a variable resistor which goes to the trim gauge. One of the wires goes to ground and other goes to a Brown/White wire which goes to the trim gauge
