Its been awhile and Ive noticed my trim not functioning properly.I added fluid and noticed later that it was coming out the bottom of one of the trim cylinder. Is there some type of gasket there because I did notice a cap of some sort with a hex head screw. .....what type of fluid is recommended in this cylindrer?

Re: Trim

You've already posted that you've added fluid, should be using power steering or ATF. See the attached link here Trim System you want to add the fluid to the resevoir on top of the pump assembly. Remove screw # 9 and fill up to the screw hole level. Note: Raise drive up before you do this if you can as it will reduce the pressure in the resevoir. Put a rag around the screw while removing just incase, can save making a mess. Raise and lower the drive a few times after to help work any air out of the system. As you can see in the link there is a seal kit you can get for the trim rams.
