Hello there, me again 1978 galaxie 22xl, merc 260

I have a trim switch with three buttons on it, the bottom lowers it, the top two have to be pressed at the same time to raise it.

Pain in the butt since the throttle is on right side, as is the trim next to the wheel on right side as well.

Is there a more simple switch that I can buy or rig to just make it easier to use the trim when going?

THanks!!

What, you can't take you hand off the throttle for a couple seconds to adjust trim? your throttle should stay put wherever you put it I think, mine does on both my boats.

Re: trim

Buy a new throttle control with a trim switch built into the handle.

With your system, if the trim limit switch is adjusted properly and working, you should be able to use just the top button to TRIM up within the specified range, and you use the top two buttons to tilt the drive up past the trim limit to put the drive in the trailer position.

I agree with eliminator, just let go of the throttle and move the trim.

Ayuh,..

I've got a switch that looks like a signal lever of a car, that houses a toogle switch on my boat,...

It works Great right there at my left finger tips....
