need help guys. My 165 i6 and pre alpha are stuck in the up position, I installed my new starter from dB trimmed it down to make sure all is well and it performed flawlessly! But I go out today to change the belt and when I go to trim down I get th pump whine but no movement I think it might be low on fluid because I noticed today that there was a drop on a line. Maybe the fluid ran after the last trim up I did? I need help badly!

The reason I think it might be out of fluid is because before it would give a high pitch whine but once it started building pressure it went to a normal trim pump sound? Can anyone point me to the procedure to check and bleed the trim system? I’ve been trying to get this boat reliable and ready and I don’t mind the work!

You may have one or both of the rams binding up. The fill procedure is to trim all the way down, and fill to the bottom of the threads of the fill plug... Bleeding is just trim up and down a few times. If you have binding, have someone stand on the drive while you trim down. It won't hurt the drive, it's capable of trim up and down with the engine running at full power, and that's equivalent of many many people standing on the drive... :D

Ayuh,..... If you store it/ leave it at Full Up, where ya hear the motor crowd down,.....

Have somebody jumpin' on it to break free the stuck valve,....

Then quit storin' it crowded against the stop,....
