So after I got the boat on plain and at WOT 4000rpm and 38MPH (on GPS),
I started to trim out, one engine at a time.
best speed obtained was 43 MPH and 4200 RPM this was with twin merc 260s and 14x20 4 blade props.
(I was a little chicken to go much higher in the RPM's)
I am wondering if I had trimmed out alittle more and raised the RPM's to 4600-4800, how much more speed could I expect??

Re: Trimming out

A 260 is probably making around 230 HP at 4200 RPM. Pushing them up to max HP RPM would get you another 60 HP or so. I'd guess at another MPH per 12 to 15 HP in your case (if you're propped right), so maybe another 4 or 5 MPH. My Sundancer 300 with twin 260's is supposed to run 43 MPH or so, and it's a wide (11' beam) heavy pig. With both your motor's running right I would guess that you would be in the high 40's (and sucking LOTS of gas!).

Would like to try 15x19"s, and see what that is like.
