Sure it's a troll, but answer honestly anyway. Answer all these questions from the point of view of an "Outsider" - as though you only know what you hear and read on the news or internet or whatever.<br /><br />Remember, it's about perception, not reality -what's your opinion of the "rest of the world view" <br /><br />The last question has no "none of the above" option - just use the last choice as "none of the above".

I considered an "Outsider" as someone who was not familiar with any of those groups and guessed that the outside observer would lump them pretty much together.<br /><br />Yeah, although I was not blatantly excluded like poor Darth, #16 was not inclusive enough. Shame on you, you politically correct, controversy starter you.

After 14 votes, what surprises me most is how many people don't know that Jesus never held a scheduled worship service, that He broke just about every rule in the book, and that He distanced Himself from politics and government at every opportunity.

Love it JTX......awesome....Jesus came and died to save us from sin....Something the LAW could not do........He was a rule breaker.....and the pharsees killed him cuz he did break their rules/law. Im not sure where but I think the Bible instructs us to follow our govenments laws as long as it doesnt go against Gods word....I look at the Religios right like this....Religion is mans way of trying to reach God( It is flawed) Gods way of trying to reach us is through relationship( it is perfect) Jesus came to teach us that as well.

I really don't know how an "outsider" would view it. I am not an outsider. I know how I would view it, though, and to an "insider" your poll seems very, very leading, like you are trying to make a point that many people are hypocricial, when your poll seems to be just that.<br /><br />But then, that is just my perception.

I agree, M&R, I recall a story about Jesus teaching us to pay our taxes, but otherwise when it came to civil obedience I think He was more about "doing the right thing."<br /><br />++++++++++++++++++++++++++++<br /><br />Aspeck, yes the questions are leading in order to make a point, but I wanted to skirt around the "hypocrisy" issue and take a more macro view.<br /><br />I thought the point of my Troll Poll would be obvious (guess I was wrong about that) - the "Religious Right" gets noticed - I think they may be seen as representative of Christians, and by extension, the U.S. - and if so, I fear we may "look" more like "the other guys" than we really want. Remember it's about perception, not reality. What to do about it? Sorry I'm just the polster, solutions are not my department.

First off you need to read it in one of the more pure forms of the bible, not the King James or New Times crap (gee, who commissioned those interpretations??). Personally I find the 1599 Geneva version to be rather literally, especially with all the margin notes from the translators, who acknowledge the many times that the old language cannot be translated to a new one faithfully.<br /><br />When you read it in that context, you'd probably come to different conclusions. A lot of the message has to do with fake money, pretty much like what we have now.
