Hi new to the boating world, Me and my Son just bought a 89 Ranger exc. shape. My question it has a 24 volt trolling motor and charging system, Is it ok to leave it pluged in all the time? and when its charging do you have to remove the caps from Batteries? thanks in advance

Re: Trolling Motor Battery charging

Whether or not you leave the charger plugged in all the time depends on whether or not it is a "smart charger". Give us the name brand and model number and we can provide more information. You don't need to remove the caps but if the batteries are in a closed compartement, I suggest keeping the lid open.
