trolling motor battery

i have a minnkota power drive 55 # thrust 12 volt motor, will this battery work ok on it ?

Everstart Auto/Marine Battery Group 24 500 cold cranking amp

yes..that is what i use, but i have group 27

The term "marine" does not automatically mean "Deep Cycle". Trolling motors must have a deep cycle battery for optimum performance and best battery life. Starting batteries (marine or auto) are not intended to be deeply discharged. Unless that battery says "Deep Cycle" someplace on it, that may not be the best choice.
