Trolling Motor for Viking Deck Boat ?

Hello all,

I have decided I need a trolling motor for my 18' Viking deck boat.. I want it in-case I have motor issues close to dock or I am in the shallows...

I just cannot figure where to mount on my boat ... What options do I have and better to mount in front or back on my boat?

How much range can I expect out of a seperate deep cycle battery ?
