Trolling motor help.

The cable for the foot control is sticking on evinrude model EBF2V .it works to a point.but you have to push real hard and wait for it. how can i lube it.thanks for any help you can give. Roger

sorry I don't know that particular model, but in general: the head isn't sealed or anything, should be 3 or 4 screws holding the top on, go ahead and take the top off. Should be more clear from there. Could be something other than cable needs cleaning/lubrication, check it out.
