My GWB67 has power on the motor side of the switch, going to the motor, but it doesn't run. Has anyone out there opened the motor housing, and does it require special tools or a special sealant to open or close? Many thanks

No Tony, it does'nt require any special tools to open. Most motors are put together the same, two or three long thru bolts holding the motor housings together...on some TM's there may be three housings, two with thru bolts and the last housing bolting up to the next.

Parts for Great Whites are available...you'll need new orings for reassembly.

Usually, when the motor will not run, it's caused by water intrusion into the lower unit or the speed coils are shot.

Just watch carefully how it comes apart. Take pictures at each step for reference. It's not a tough job. A parts break down would help. If you contact Motor Guide, they may send you a parts break down for ordering parts. You can order direct from them or go through a local dealer who deals with MG.
