I know this is an odd request, but in order to do effective fresh water fishing for bream, I really need to figure out a way to add a trolling motor.

I have devised a way to mount a removable pedestal seat in the bow, and there's ample room for the foot control, but the two biggest challenges are mounting it to the gunwale and spanning the vast distance from the gunwale at the bow and the water line, which is about three feet.

Any good ideas out there? Alternate locations for mounting? Extra long trolling motor shafts?

Can you put one on the transom?

Got that large teak swim platform back there, but that's an idea. Wouldn't be a permanent setup.
