I have a MINN KOTA 27 lb thrust trolling motor Turbo 35T it calls for a 2061125 replacement prop. My question is do any of you guys know if another prop will mount to this motor to give it more top speed? I am not concerned with overloading because I only have it mounted to a light 16 foot canoe. I just can't find any information about mounting or prop pitch.
I posted in the trolling motor forum but nobody commented.

Re: trolling motor prop?

You might consult with Minn Kota. It's possible a prop from a larger motor might fit and work on the relatively light easy to push canoe.
You might buy a prop and use a dremmal tool to carve a little cup in the blades of the old prop a little at a time and test.
Maybe a heat gun and bend a tiny bit more pitch in the tip of the blades. You might need a gps to tell the difference.
Might be fun to know your present speed and play with carefull boat trim for best speed.
What kind of speed change were you hoping for?
