Trolling motor question for Bayliner outboard

I have a 1988 Bayliner Capri with a 125 HP Force Outboard. The boat is out of State so I am limited as to what I know will work. Really don't want to invest a bunch of money, in other words wondering if a rear troller will work on this boat? I know it won't fit next to the outboard, but would it work if I raised the motor up? Would it even attach to the stern? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I would not spend a penny until you are with the boat. An electric one will set you back when you add in the batteries just about more than a small kicker motor.
