I have a new Lowrance X91. I am looking to mount it to my trolling motor on the bow of the boat. What is the best mount to use so that I eliminate RF interference? Or is there something to put in line to prevent the interference? Thanks, Brian

Re: Trolling motor transducer mounting

Hi Brian, You can get a fairly wide assortment
of mounts for most transducers, but to tell you the truth all I have ever used are the stock ones that came with the fish finder and then slightly
hollowed out the base to fit the shape of the trolling motor and then use about a 4" stainless hose clamp to mount it. I have used this method for Eagle's and Humminbirds and it works pretty well.however if you plan to have only one fish finder and switch to front and back transducers you could buy one made for that application since they are generally about the same price. as far as any interference from the motor
I have had some in the past but if you play with the area that you mount it at i.e. forward or back on the motor you can usually clear it up that way. hope this helps Bruce
