Am in the process of setting up an aux motor for trolling on my 4.3 m runabout. Given that the boat whilst being powered by the aux motor will be deeper in the water at the rear, is it common to have the aux motor perpindicular to the water, rather than parallel to the transom. That is, when trolling, the motor sits square in the water rather than square on the boat.
