Have a 6 month old 9.9hp mercury kicker which we had intended to use for trolling. Are we better off to sell it and go with something like the "happy troller" or buy a bracket and steering rod and keep the kicker?
advice please.
I have done some reading up since posting and it appears to me that since I already have the big ticket item, namely a good kicker, that I shall go that way. I would have to agree with many others that not only can you troll better with a kicker but it acts as a back up in case of an emergency.
