Trolling mounting ?

I have a ? about mounting a trolling motor. I was given a 72 starcraft trihull. I have a 12v motor guide bow mount trolling motor. Just wondering if I need to use those rubber isolators or just mount it solid to the fiberglass?

A rubber spacer or washer should be used between the base of the mount and the boat mounting surface if the mount base is not level. It is important that the bracket lies even against the rubber washers before bolting it to the deck. If the mount is not even, it will bind as it is bolted down making it difficult or impossible to unlatch
