I have a 1995 16' Sea Nymph with a 25 horse Johnson. This used to be my Dad's boat and after a deck restoration, it's been a real pleasure to get it back on the water.

The question I have is how slow does it go? My father and I have used it on Lake Erie for walleye's and have done rather well with it. He never used a trolling motor on this boat, just the 25. When trolling, slower is better obviously, but the 25 can only go so slow. I don't have a fish locator with speed on it which will be rectified, just not right now. Does anybody have a clue how "fast" I would be going if I was throttled all the way down? Thanks for any input.

You have asked a very tough question. Depends on a lot of things. How well tuned the motor is will determine how low you can get the rpm to be, how much load is in the boat and what kind of currents you are running in.
Best answer is "quite slow" at this time. However if "quite slow" is still too fast for you then you can drag a pail or something behind you to slow yourself down.
Good Luck with everything.
