I guess there is a high demand for the 1903cc, no dealers have a new one around here. There is one sitting at the factory shrink wrapped ready to ship any day now and I have a refundable deposit already on it. But I can change my mind anytime.

While waiting for this 2008 1903 (which I have never seen a 1903 in person, just a 1703), I have started to look at different models like the 2052 and the 1902wa. I also catch myself going to another dealer looking at the seapro 186 and 196.

My family is pressing me towards something that has a toilet. Only thing I don't like about the wa boats is the bow space. Also, alot of these dealers charge for prep and something else, which drives the price up 2k more!! I had optioned the 1903cc with a garmin 540 flush mounted, dealer price 1170.00, a raw water washdown they want 750.00 installed, dual battery set up 500.00 and a t-top with 6 rocket launchers 2000.00 installed, total came out to 29,800 out the door. I don't get it, they tell me trophy has the speacial listed at 20,455 then they add thier prep fees of 2k and plus tax it ends up being about 25k. Am I getting screwed?? Do you guys think this is a good deal??

I also saw a website calld "pier58" and they have smokin deals on seapros! But they are out of state:( I think it would cost too much to have one brought here I guess.

Damn, i saw the garmin 540 at west marine for only 699.00, raw water washdown for 250.00, and why in the heck would it cost 500.00 to add another battery?? The t-top I can't get away without paying at least 2k, I guess t-tops are expensive straight out. What do you guys think?? Damn this is getting stressfull. This is a long time investment and I want to make it right.

Re: Trophy 1903cc price am I getting screwed??

Welcome to the world of boat buying.

A good part of waht is perceived as high prices for aftermarket items are installation and warranty costs.

My washdown pump was $225. Then the scoop intake and seacock set me back an another $175 and I wasn't done yet. Add in the cost of the wiring, hoses and a switch on the dash and throw in a couple of hours in labor for the install and $750 isn't all that bad.

The battery is the same thing. Figure $275-$300 in parts (battery, combiner, cables, etc.) plus a couple hours of labor if they do things right.

I don't trust dealers to do anything right so I do all my after market installations. That way I know it was done right and don't get any surprises down the road.

A T-top for $2K is a bargain. It's a $10K option on my boat.

It's a buyers market, so you should have no problem finding a boat at a good price, they should be begging you to take it.
Just say no to any extra fees and see what they say.

As far as added options, if you don't want, or know how to install all the bells and whistles, then ya gotta pay for them to do it. Most of the time it will be done well and if there's a problem they'll need to address it.
