Everytime I go boating my bilge fills with 2+gal. of water for every 5-6 hours under power. Been into the rapair shops so many times I have lost count. The repair guys fill or repair seals, but nothing changes. Just had the thru hull resealed, but no change. Any ideas out there. It appears to fill while under way and not while sitting at anchor or in a birth.

Check the drains for the fishwells, they are leaking in my boat and any water that is in there after pump out, slowly leaks into the bilge.

Also, what kind of cruising? they will also leak behind the rub rail and down into the bilge if your in rough seas. I am currently re-sealing my bond line behind the rubrails for this very reason.

Make sure the seacock for the baitwell is closed. It may be forcing water up into the baitwell and overfilling it causing the water to run over the top and into the bilge. A lot of these boats don't have the baitwell sealed so the water will run over.

Check the length of the baitwell drain tube. If it's too long it also will cause the baitwell to fill up and overflow. If you're like me and don't use the baitwell then leave the tube out and laying in the baitwell so it doesn't build up water.

Mine is a 2004 2002WA, and I had the same problem. But I think I got it fixed. I took my boat out of a couple of hours last Sunday then when I turned on the bilge pump, no water coming out. So I think I got it fixed. I should have positively verified the results by open the hatch. But I did not.

Anyway, my problem was the water was leaking into the bilge from unfrt snf around the cockpit drain flanges. I think when the boat was moving, there was enough water flow back into the cockpit, and seeps under those drain flanges to get into the bilge. I sprayed the water all over the cockpit, then opened the access hatch, use flashlight, stick my head in there and actually saw a couple of small stream of water running down both sides of the bilge walls. So I got some 3M 4200, made sure it flows into the cracks under, and around those flanges. And that seemed to fix it.

I plan to verify my fix more the next time I'm at the boat. Then I might put some more caulk around the flange from inside the battery compartment. I think Trophy already had caulking around them in there. But I probably will re do them myself.
