I'm looking at this 96 2352. Very clean. Used in the fresh water. Any comments? I understand that this is the newer hull with stringers. I gather they did away with the stringers in 2000.

Re: Trophy ?

Seen that you posted these pics over on the Bayliner club site. Welcome here as well. The basin will come in very handy for when you are out on the boat. Sort of like a glove box to put all the sh*t you always have on you. Like wallet, truck keys, sunglasses, sun screen, etc. Any question you want answered? I think you stated that this boat is new to you. Do you need advice on what maintence you should do before your first trip? What to check. Never Assume anything with boating. It always cost more to find out you where wrong to assume. Here is the place to ask all the maintence questions you like. There are a ton of pro that work on boats everyday that are members on this site. If you have specific questions about the Bayliner features then other site is very useful. This one is more the hand on fix it site for information directions.

So did you get the boat surveyed when you bought it? Is the transom and stringers ok. Has the belows been replaced? How about the water pump? What condition are the risers in? Looks like it could use a good cleaning. If you need info or reccomendations on how to buff and any other things I mentioned then you are in the right place. Just ask away.

Re: Trophy ?

Thanks for the reply Bisson. I brought her home and it appears that my biggest problem is leaking cabin hatches.

Well i have a 2000 , this year your looking at is slightly different you have the old style hull., My 2000 has fibreglass reinforced stringers. that year has wood stringer. Thats the hardest thing. Buying a boat like this. Its like buying a used car. Sometimes you get a good one sometimes you get a bad one. If you got it for a good price then i wouldnt worry about it. I have read many forums saying bayliners are crap. Well generally most the ppl who say that never owned one. I fish lake erie. Walk around the docks, how many bayliners do u see. how many whalers do you see. How many stripers do you see. If they were that crappy then why are half or better of the boats on the marinas bayliner. I dunno, hey its what fit my price range. I used to work at a Boat dealer. We had just as many bayliners come in as anything else. If you dont take care of something, nothing lasts. Change the oil, change the plugs, heck wash it off. IF you take care of it, it will take care of you. BOAT Break Out Another Thousand.
