Trouble removing a fiberglass bow seat base

So, I have just began the gutting process on my '93 GW Invader Rivera to replace the stringers and deck. But alas, I can't figure out how the h*ll they got the bow seat system into the boat. See pic below.

- I slid it back to the widest section of the hull in hopes that I could rotate it sideways to pull it up, but the diagonal is too long to make the turn.
- I also have not been able to get enough flex in the seat base to pull it straight up

Anyone have any similar experiences? Any ideas? I could obviously cut the seat base to get it out, but would prefer to avoid that repair if I am missing something obvious.

that went in before the cap went on.

I would build a cradle for the boat and pull the cap.

Aye, I feared that was the case. Thanks Scott Danforth I will dig into it more tonight, but how substantial of a cradle is needed to keep form if I remove the cap? As a first time restorer I was hoping to avoid removing the cap (seems scary to me for some reason, ha), but it would be endlessly helpful for working on cap rails/etc.
