trouble removing powerhead 1984 50 hp

Hi,<br />Removed the 4 mounting bolts on both sides of the powerhead also the 2 small bolts and the nut on the rear of the powerhead and I can;t get them to seperate.Tried prying them apart with a screw driver and hammer still didn't work. Any suggestions?<br />Thanks Tom

Can't say for sure off the top of my head, but there may be 2 more nuts in the front on either side of the steering arm

Can you get the lower unit off? If not, the drivehaft may be stuck in the crankshaft.

Did you disconnect the gearshift rod?
