I have a 1989 125 HP Force outboard motor. I tore it down and honed the cylinders, put in new rings and bearings. Took the motor out on the river and it ran great. It started acting up so I came back in and took it apart. I noticed that the bearing gage at the top of the crankshaft was ground down. Does anybody know what would cause that. I have no ideal what would cause that. The engine ran great. Any help would be appreciated.
