[I just installed my tru course steering system and it will not turn hard right as it turns hard left. Is centering the issue? Someone told me that you need to remove the outdrive to make the adjustments. Is this necessary?

Thanks

You could get the outdrive centered, then pull off the rear true course cable hub, turn your stearing wheel until you get equal turns left and right then replace your rear cable drum back on the grar shaft, that will help, but to get perfectly centered, remove you outdrive trunion caps and pull outdrive back until the stearing gears demesh and align outdrive and center stearing wheel.

Going to pull the outdrive today and get it done right. Did not do it when I first installed the outdrive because I did not have a steering wheel yet. Got ahead of myself...

Thanks for the reply

Pulled the out drive. Centered the wheel. Reinstalled the out drive. Works great!
