try again,150 87 johnson shift rod unhook

I.m trying again to find out how to unhook the shift rod from the (u shaped clevis shaped holding device) I removed the small bolt and pulled the horizontal shaft. the remaining clevis clamp is still engauged to the shifter rod. Is there a spring loaded part to the pin or why wont the clamp disingauge from the shift rod. Thank you

May just be some corrosion there, as once you take out the screw from the port side. it should drop down. Be patient and shoot a little wd40 and let it sit, whatever you do, do not force anything on the shift rod.
