I cannot seem to find a Sierra part number for the MercCarb rebuild kit that works on Mercury Marines part number of 3302-804844. I took the carb to the marina that was 30 miles away and since the numbe plate on the side was worn off, they insist that they have to "examine" it to find the correct gasket kit. Does anyone have any info? I pulled to serial number off Mercury Parts Express and it lists 807764A 1 as the carb on my Mercruiser, but I still can't find anything except the GLM, and I was told to stay away from that brand. Any thoughts?

just went through this myself. If the mercury number is 804844, then the Sierra is 18-7098 or if you want it NAPA 2-5420. The NAPA kit is the least expensive option.

Also for a float, sierra 18-7202 or NAPA 2-477. These are brass, but I ended up going with a mercury number 3302-9031 because I wanted to be able to measure exactly by the manual for float settings, and I wasnt exactly sure how the refence points compared on the brass. Plus I was having trouble getting enought float drop and gettting the needle open with the brass one. I never ran it so it might have been alright but I spent a little extra on the OEM float just to be safe.
