Found I had a bad wire today when I was trying to figure out why I had a skip. Touched the back of the case so I could take cover off and see what was going on and it zapped the crap out of me. Upon taking off the cover and then starting again, saw that one of the wires is arcing out to the case. I am having a heck of time finding new wires. All I can seem to find are either coil and wires...but coil is fine. Or make your own wires, which I'd rather not do. Are these little outboards basically a find a generic wire type thing? I did see some universal 7" Sierra's I guess that would fit. Would need to measure. Does that seem right? Kinda new to outboards...but not boat engines in general. But I have always had Mercruiser stuff which is available everywhere. Thanks!!!

The wires come with the coil.

Are you able to remove the wires from the coil? If so, I would go to any auto parts store and find cables that will fit your coil.

Sure looks like they pop right off. I didn't actually try and assumed you can just remove the wires like every other plug wire. Will have to check now. Thanks!
