Hello all,
I have been looking at this site for some time now and it is by far the best site I have seen.
My problem is the id plate on the transom bracket isn't there and I am trying to find out the Model # and if it is a crossflow or ?, so I can order the right manual for it. In other posts they have said to look at the frost plug but this is the only # that is on it c7241808
The motor is a 90hp VRO (vro disconnected) Evinrude. I was told it was an 1989
or 1990.
Here are some pictures of it, hope this help.
Thank you for your help.

Many crossflow V4 engines have a quarter-sized aluminum welch plug on top of the port cylinder bank. If there, it may have two sets of numbers, the first being the model number. If only the serial number is known, you may have to contact a dealer to find the model number.

Thanks ezeke
the welch plug that you are talking about is on the starboard bank on this motor and the number is c7241808. Could this be the serial #.
I don't have a serial # to take to a shop for more info.
Thanks for your help

1989 or 1990, yep. I have the original factory sales brochurs for both years and they look identical. So, it's one or the other. It would be a cross-flow. I would have to suppose the manuals are the same also.

Thank F R
I was thinking the same thing. I will check with the those two years and see if the manuals are the same.
Thanks
