I am trying to find some replacement knobs for my side sliding windows. There is a 3/8" hole in the glass and the knobs are around 1-3/4" in diameter. So far, it doesn't look like anyone has ever had to replace them. My boat is a 1985 23' Glasply with the Alaskan bulkhead. Has anyone had any luck finding a knob that will work? I need 4 of them.

Regards,

Mick

What about home cabinet hardware? Check Home Depot or Lowe's? Think you'd only need to be concerned about replacing mounting screws with stainless. Just a thought

I tried I boats but to no avail, so look at great lakes skipper (kendor marine) and go to cabin and galley, then handles, you should find what you need there.

Try these folks, www.marinesurplusinc.com. I have found a lot of good stuff at their place. Send them an e-mail with a picture with an explanation and description. They may be able to suggest an alternative if they don't have the exact knob.

You might try posting a picture on here as well so one of us may be able to help, I know I have a lot of stuff laying around.

I would also try a auto junk yard alot of the rear windows that flip out have the knobs on them take a screw driver and just unscrew the knobs.
