Trying to split a DP-S in half

Anyone have any tips on how to split the upper and lower halves of a DP-S? I removed the four nuts and two screws the volvo manual says. It does not budge at all.

You might want to try putting the bolts and nuts back on but leave them about 3 turns loose. You can than use a punch and hammer to hit the nuts and bolts. This may get it to move enough.
It is most likely stuck around the studs. This is where you will want to use penetrating oil and heat.

Well I cant really hit the the studs because they are tucked up under the side. Guess I will just try and smack it a bit harder and hope I dont break it. Thanks for the reply. Mike
