Trying to just get my tilt/trim to function for now, then will progress to the outboard. Worked fine when I bought the boat a couple of years ago but ran out of time to mess with it till now. Checked the relay box for the tilt/trim and the fuse looks ok but I am not getting any power to the the motor. I am using a fresh battery from my truck which should be enough to run the tilt/trim motor. Just was wondering where I should start to diagnose the problem. Does the throttle control have to be in a certain position to run the tilt/trim? Thanks for any help.

Check the fuse holder. When these get really old, they corrode inside and won't transfer power, even with a good fuse.

Thanks, didn't think of checking the fuse holder. Won't be able to check it till next weekend but we will see how it goes.
