Is this switch going to replace the key start switch? There would be some things i think you would have to know such as voltage and the current that will be going through this switch contacts. If the switch is not rated for what be going through it you could run into problems such as an electrical fire. Plus i would go with a switch that springs back to the OFF position if replacing the key start switch. This goes with wire selection as well, use the proper AWG to handle the current load. Not sure if this helps you, and i definately dont want to insult your smarts in anyway if what i mentioned you already know.

You need a choke. Two strokes need plenty of fuel when cold and without a functional choke you will have a hard time starting the engine. You need a starter solenoid. The ignition switch (or any other small toggle switch) cannot handle the current used by the starter. Besides, look at the size of the starter cable. How would you attach that to the key switch or a toggle switch. And then there is the issue of stopping the engine. Without an ignition switch or a separate "kill" switch you have no way of stopping the engine if you do get it running.
