Well I know its not nearly as bad as irene, but ts storm lee or should I say bands of it, pushed its way thru my area and is still gusting hard and raining off and on at 3:00 sunday here... No major damages, except it absolutely shredded my 1 season old contractor grade tarp ($65) so there I was last night around midnight or so, pulling what was left of my tarp off in driving rainstorm gusts of 50 mph crankin thru, trying to put my bimini up for some kind of protection. My bimini is rock solid so I wasnt woried about it going anywhere.

However, this morning watching the gusts a couple good ones came thru and it acted as a bit of a kite, and the boat (glastron gt-150) shimmied on the trailer some  its securely fastened to said trailer, but all I could think of was wow... Powerful stuff, I mean the bimini isnt all that big but watching the whole kit and kaboodle want to take flight was a little unnerving... So its still gusting here, but ive got 6 or 7 cinder blocks in the boat and on the trailer, she aint goin no where now... Anywho, just wanted to check in from down south here... Hope everyone else is fairing as well as me and mine... Thanks and good luck all!

Hope you fare alright. I dont know what are you trying to protect with a bimini, it cant really keep anything dry on those conditions and the bimini itself can cost you $300+. Good luck....

Sorry you're out the tarp, but thanks for going through the weather that has finally brought us some rain and sub-90 degree temperatures here in the South Plains! This 65 degree high temperature feels so good after over 100 consecutive days over 90 and 67 over 100.
