So, this weekend was a fantastic weekend in Southern Indiana to be out on Patoka Lake. Had a great time on Saturday with my mom, sister, nephew and myself. Leasure day with nothing to worry about.

Sunday was close to the same. This time I had my buddy, his girlfriend, her three kids and her sister out on the boat. We spent most of the day tubing and relaxing and having a grand old time. When we weren't tubing I would tie the tube to my Bimini top and let it "hang" off of the back of my boat. Have done this a few times now and have never had any problems. The nice thing about doing it that way is that I don't have to lose 2 seats in my boat. (I have a HUGE 2 person tube).

Well, we get to the ramp and drop my buddy off and he pulls the truck around. His GF had asked him to get a picture of all of us on the boat. SO, I lined up with the trailer while he was taking pictures we drifted to the side a bit. So, I reversed to get back in line...but I forgot that I had raised the trim up on the prop. I hear this sound of something in the prop and I know its the tube...the $140 tube I had just purchased in June...

I lowered the prop, got back in line, trailered the boat, trimmed up and then looked at the tube. The nylon cover is torn in multiple places, but looks repairable. The tube itself is fine, no holes at all.

I did call and order a replacement cover for the tube for $72, but I am also going to see if I can get this one fixed as well. That way I'll have a spare!

Great weekend, fun day on the water and no one was hurt. That's a successful day to me! Even if it did cost me another $72
