Bit of a silly question for the tuners out there, I have a '85 30hp Evinrude and the spark advance is set at the stock 30 degrees. It is supposedly the equivalent of the pre > '84 35hp. In another post there is a '76 35hp with the following sticker:
With 34 degrees advance. Could i set my timing to 34 degrees and get any performance boost or would it just explode my engine? Are the blocks identical?
Thanks for humoring me.
