I was attempting to "test" my fuel guage today, as it reads empty all the time and was gounding out the positive lead? apparently i did something wrong because minutes eariler everything was fine, then right after when i turn the key nothing happens. usually there would be a beep and the guages would illuminate, and if i turned the key the rest of the way the motor would turn over. now, nothing happens at all. tilt/trim do not work either. everything else works, my other electronics, bilge baitwell pumps etc... I'm guessing that i popped a fuse somewhere for the controls but i cant find it. i have a two battery system and switch, but the outboard/controls are directly connected to the batteries. i had a similar problem with an older outboard periodically and there was an inline fuse on the motor that would pop but i cant seem to find one anywhere and i'm on the right track? any ideas? the motor is a 99 evinrude ficht 225
