Is anyone else a little disapointed in mercruiser tks systems when cold?As advertised it will start "faster than you can read thie sentence",however i could read that sentence 10 times before it starts when cold!A little misleading especialy after $900.:mad:Not to mention they say you don't need to prime it when cold ,not true unless you want to wear your battery down.

Re: turn-key-start

No I think you would wear the battery down before it starts.
Other than that I think you?ve summed it up pretty good.

Re: turn-key-start

yep, TKS is a joke

there may even be a service bulletin about having to pump the throttle twice if the engine dosen't start after so many seconds of cranking

just pump the throttle twice and start it up
