Worked out fine with minor set backs had to go buy a tool.I could'nt fine my universal joint. You need a short extention,on a 1/4 inch ratchet.I think it was 9mm socketand the universal joint cause of the angle.just take your time, took me like 3hours,Evrything came together pretty simple ,not complicated.I had 2 setbacks.I ended up making my own stopper, cause the handdle would go past the last speed and keep spinning,I could'nt figure that out? Also one part was spinning as you tried to change speeds?I thought I put it back correct? anyway I just glued that fixed with "goop".works fine.the onlything is that the handle will spinn past reverse if you go to far.I had no time to fix that, but not a big deal.at least I can slam it into high speed ,I had to fix that,it stops at speed 5 properly.I use some 3/8 ply wood on the outside of bow,for extra strenght like 7inches wide, and some 12inches long, stops 1 inch just before the hull.Motor barely fit I had to remove the 2 washers at the end of the bolts were you tighten up to secure the motor. It would'nt fit with them.I added a sm piece of wood to the inside 4By 6,then glued on a v strip of alluminum I found, hammered it flat first .I secure the motor to the alluminum piece, holds good so far,I'd hate to run a ground though:facepalm:..Only one bolt keeps the head from spinning. It's good fun with the motor pulling from the front.I like to use an extension handle with that.Ma some guys were using a motor with a reversed head onthe "stern"!.He said it was'nt that bad, showed him mine on the bow ,told him how to fix that, they got it like that lol
