Twin 6.2 odd ignition issue

Have been looking at a 2006 Fountain with twin 6.2 Mag Horizons FWC. Issue that I find odd is this.. You can start and shut off each motor by itself but, when you have both motors running, neither will shut off if the other is running. you have to turn off both keys for the motors to shutdown. wonder if this is a setup type option in the smartcraft type controls?

No, something is crossed together. assuming you have 2 batteries and 2 battery switches, remove 1 pos cable from a battery and see what works and what dosent. report the results

I'd start with anything that has been added such as VHF, GPS, stereo, etc.

My guess is something is misswired

Sounds like it’s batteries linked out on the starter supply.

It will be the ignition circuits that are crossed up. Normally they run in separate harnesses so it's more likely that the problem is something that has been added after the boat was new.
