I recentlly purchased a 91 Pursuit 2550 Cuddy and at 3/4 to WOT it stays at 44-4500 rpms@ 42mph. I need to re-prop to be able to reach the 5500rpms that the engine normally turns at WOT. What do you guys recommend.

Thanks

Did the motors ever run at 5,500?You may want to verify tachs are accurate and confirm speed GPS.
Not an expert but what props are you running now.
Are you sure motors are set up right, trim and height. Is the bottom clean?looking for 1,000 rpm seems a lot.

The tachs are factory yamaha digital gauges. I dont know if the boat ever did 5500rpms. No bottom paint. And I dont have the boat yet so I will see the height tomorrow.

I think the props are 19. I looked at the motors when the boat was running and the cavitation plate looked like it was just below the water. And the speed was 42-43 GPS.
