Twin Merc 5.0L MPI's - different flow rates...

Hi guys,

Would anyone have any suggestions as to why my Port engine burns more fuel then the Starboard engine at any given RPM.

When I have both engines at cruise (3500 RPM's) I can burn anywhere from 1 to 2 GPH more on my Port Engine.

This is even evident when at idle (both engines about 650-700 RPM)

I am getting my fuel rates from a Lowrance LMF-200

The boat is 2006 Four Winns Vista 318 with twin 5.0L MPI's.

Thanks

At 3500 RPM's the Starboard side reads ~10.2 and the Port reads ~11.5.

At idle Starboard reads approx .6 to .9 and Port reads .9 to 1.5

Now these figures do jump around a bit while running , but the Port engine usually stays higher then the Starboard

try reversing the fuel flow sensors(or leads) and see if the problem follows the sensor or not
