I have twin Yamaha 130's on a 24 foot Grady White walk around cuddy. (heavy boat) I currently have 13x17 aluminum props and want to switch to stainless
steel. should I change the pitch because of the stainless prop being thinner? wot is 6000 rpm now.
one is counter rotating if it makes a difference.

Re: twin prop question

If you are turning 6,000 now, I would use the same pitch in a stainless to bring the RPMs down just a bit.

Check Ebay, sometimes there are matched props listed.

Re: twin prop question

If 6000 is with a light load youre right where you need to be. Actually if you hook up with a performance center they may want to try 19's and raise the motors a tad so you'll end up at or near the same rpm but decrease slip and increase efficiency.

You can also play around with swapping the lower units to change the prop rotation.
